The key focal point of our activities is the monthly members’ gathering, when we conduct pitching sessions and discuss investment issues and club affairs.
Outside the monthly meetings, the board, various committees, and investee company focused groups meet separately for various other purposes.
Members are encouraged to attend the monthly gatherings and otherwise actively participate in club activities to the extent their travel and work commitments allow.

Zachary Leung (Director, Founding Member)
Zachary has 25+ years of experience in technology and innovation, covering (a) entrepreneurship; (b) mentoring and investments in young startups; (c) management in multi-national corporations; and (d) teaching, research, and technology transfer in universities. Zachary was awarded as an Outstanding Young Digi Person in Hong Kong. He received his PhD in electrical engineering and computer science from MIT.

He has been involved in angel investment in the past 18 years, and has served as assessors and judges for a number of entrepreneurship competitions. Ivan Yim (Founding Member)
Mr. Ivan Yim is a director of Centalent CPA Limited, a CPA firm registered in Hong Kong. He is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a practising member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Ivan graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a bachelor degree of social sciences and holds a master degree of corporate finance from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He was also awarded with the practising and specialist certificates (corporate finance) by the Hong Kong Securities Institute. Over 30 years of experiences in structuring and setting up financial operations for companies in Asia, Ivan has worked as financial controller, company secretary and chief financial officer for various companies in different industries. He has sound experiences in financial advisory in providing corporate finance and restructuring work for multinational companies. Ivan also actively participates in IPO works in Singapore and Hong Kong and helps fund raising of new setup companies.

Michael (Mike) Paul Grundy has 40 years of experience in the Pulp and Paper Industry in various parts of the world.
After attaining his bachelors in Paper Science, he worked in paper manufacturing before moving to provide chemical solutions to pulp and paper industry.
For the first 20 years of his career, he worked in England and North Europe before moving to Asia in 1996.
In 2000, Mike co-founded Amazon Papyrus Chemicals (Hong Kong) and has been leading the company as a CEO since that date. Under his prudent leadership, innovative vision for chemical solutions, and financial acumen, Amazon Papyrus has established itself as a leading solution provider for process chemicals to the Pulp and Paper Industry in Asia Pacific region. Presently Amazon employs almost 500 people in various countries.
Cherry has extensive experience in corporate finance, venture investments, telecoms and manufacturing.
Since 2013, she has been active as an M&A advisor working with SFC- and MAS- licensed firms and also an angel investor in a number of startups. She was previously CEO of Tsing-Tech Innovations, a Hong Kong based venture and incubation fund. Before that, she worked in major Telco’s and MNC’s in Hong Kong and Singapore.
Cherry has served on the board of numerous start-ups and investee companies in clean-tech and TMT.

Bruce Von Cannon
Bruce is former CEO of Bank Privee Edmond de Rothschild- Hong Kong and has 27 years of experience in wealth management and finance with assignments in New York, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Geneva.
He is a graduate of Princeton University and holds an M.B.A. and Masters Degree in Agricultural Economics. He speaks fluent English, French, and Mandarin Chinese.
Jimmy Chen is Managing Partner and Chief Enabling Officer of Amrop China, a recruitment firm. Before that, Jimmy held numerous executive positions at Aleris, Noveon, and Dow Chemical, among others. Jimmy shares with his local and foreign clients what it takes to succeed in cross-cultural and globalization management – from greenfield, JV, M&A, restructuring to major stakeholder relationship – covering various sectors including chemicals, energies, agriculture, transportation, consumer, retail, electronic and private equity; and spanning across both private and public sectors. Jimmy holds bachelor and master degrees from the University of Manchester and the University of Stirling. He also attended leadership programs at IMD, INSEAD and the Kelley School of Business.
Kenneth Sue is an investment and finance professional. He has been involved in the financial markets for the past 30 years, being located in Hong Kong for most of that period. Mr Sue was a Senior Managing Director at Union Bancaire Privee, responsible for Investment Services and Treasury and Dealing. This encompassed investment activity across all asset classes, on both a discretionary and advisory basis, whilst also responsible for balance sheet management and dealing. Mr Sue was also the Alternate Chief Executive and the Responsible Officer for Type 1, Type 4 and Type 9 Regulated Activities in Hong Kong. Prior to wealth management, Mr Sue was a senior executive in the global markets operations for HSBC, Deutsche Bank, Merrill Lynch, Bankers Trust and Westpac. He has extensive experience across investment products, derivatives and securities markets across all asset classes.
